Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection concerns the Department of Physics, Astronomy, and Geosciences. Within it are VSC informational brochures concerning the details of the three different majors, as well as some flyers from the 1990s about Departmental lectures and workshops. The Department was busy in the 80s. In 1985 the Telescope was dedicated (programs included) and the Department started a newsletter PAG2ES. The collection contains  Planetarium Programs from 1985-2001 as well as a  School of Engineering Proposal from 1986.  From 1988-1989 the department was planning to host the Georgia Academy of Sciences annual conference.

Clock is a large oak grandfather clock with glass doors. It is missing the clock face. It has a silver plaque showing that is was a gift from the class of 1917 to the Physics department. It is currently awaiting repair.
