Pound Papers:
Board of Regents Correspondence, Sep.-Dec. 1933 |
2 |
Jere Madison
Pound, and primarily Erle Cocke, Secretary-Treasurer of BOR; also Hughes
Spalding, Chairman of BOR; and J.R. Dusenbury, financial officer for GSWC. |
Continuation of
financial issues with College, includes enrollment statistics for 1933-34.
Pound writes Cocke trying to get the state to pave the College roads (which
are always in bad shape, wet or dry). More correspondence on the suppies for
the chemistry department; they finally arrive. Pound has an operation in
late November, and during this time, Cocke corresponds with J.R. Dusenbury.
Toward the end of the year, Pound notes that Cocke is leaving the Board of
Regents, and what a pleasure he's been to work with. |
