Powell's annual
report for year 1918-19. Sections include: general; the president's absence
(for Red Cross work); yard, farm & dairy; faculty; finances/budget; and
needs of the college. Powell mentions the effect of post-war conditions on
the college (economy), his stint with the Red Cross, and the farm under the
direction of Mr. & Mrs. Clayton. The report also addresses the issue of
assigning extra duties to J.F. Wood to justify a salary increase This is an
effort to compete with a job offer he had from the city of Valdosta. Wood
did not want additional duties. His salary was increased. Executive
Committee minutes discuss routine business, such as building construction,
finances and faculty adjustments. |
