Powell's annual
report for 1924-25. Sections include: general, building programme, faculty
matters, faculty personnel/budget, farm, dining department, financial
statement/budget, and needs of the college. Powell is adamant about "faculty
crisis;" the school has lost many teachers due to low salaries, and is not
able to hire "competent" replacements. Minutes of Apr. 30 discuss faculty
crisis. Eleven out of 24 faculty had resigned "to date," and Board gave
Powell approval to allow for raises. Other minutes contain "usual" business
(funding, construction, faculty). Executive Committee decides to meet
monthly. |
