references to the construction of the library. Money problems in 1938 made
planning for the library an on-again, off-again project. W.A. Edwards died
and papers detail a plan to put a picture of him in the library as a
memorial. Dockets, change orders, problems with roof color, furniture, panel
inscriptions, sculptures, bids, lighting, list of books needed. Other
construction: reference to Log Cabin 6/24/38 and 9/14/39. Reference to plans
for a music house (no evidence that it was ever built). |
