Description
Oklahoma citizens were encouraged to bring awareness to Native American heritage during the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival. Native Americans brought a lot of contributions to European civilizations. Public history speakers informed their audience of the interdependent relationship between Columbus and the Indians. Brief mentions of a campaign to promote education and tribal business.
