Description
Question on why do paratroopers yell Geronimo when they jump from planes? It originated from American Indians who were paratroopers. (Yakis and Cherokees) during the North African Invasion that took place in November 1942. It was to honor a famous Apache Indian Cheif, who had the courage that they tried to emulate. Geronimo was an American Indian a part of the Chiricahua Apache. He conducted raids on U.S. settlements and the Mexicans in retaliation for them killing his family.
