Description
There is a Mound State Monument located in Alabama. The mounds were created by Mississippian Indians. These mounds are located in the Black Warrior Valley. There is a village that overlooks the Black Warrior River. There are 20 mounds that range in height, some of these mounds are burial grounds of the Indians. There is a picture of the High Temple Mound which was the center of the Indian's religious life.
