Description
St. Louis separated itself from St. Louis County and adopted a consolidated city and country government. Austin Augustus King was the Tenth governor and then Forrest Smith followed after him 100 years later. Monuments and Museums were created to remember these famous Missourians. Both Forest Smith and A.A. King were buried in the Richmond City Cemetery; which became a prominent landmark.
