Description
Twenty-six Indian tribes were represented during the dance competitions at the Bell Pow-Wow. Other events that took place during the Bell Pow-Wow was the crowing of the senior princess which was Kristi Patton and the junior princess Sabrina Duncan. The Pow-Wow received a 1,000-dollar grant from the States Arts Council. Some of the tribes that were represented were: Apache, Arikara, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Creek, Commanche, Cherokee, Choctaw, Delaware, Euchee, Kaw, Kiowa, Navajo, Osage, Otoe/Iowa, Pawnee, Ponca, Pueblo, Painte, Quapaw, Seneca, Shoshoni, Sac and Fox, Seminole, and Sioux. The winning dancers were listed and so were other competition winners from various events.
