Description
Daniel Webster was the son of James Clement and Elizabeth Heaton Vann. The Cherokee Family was driven out of their home state Georgia and sent to the Indian Territory through the Trail of Tears. They settled in the Delaware District of the Cherokee Nation Indian Territory. Daniel was the 8th child born and attended school in the Cherokee Nation, but left to work at James Bell's Company. He ended up in a lot of battles. Once the battles were over, he went home to find that it had been burnt down. He remarried twice and ended up living in Mayes County, Pryor Creek Indian Territory. He became a member of the Cherokee Council from the Cooweescowee District.
