Description
Mayes County, Oklahoma there are traces of prehistoric men that date back to 7456 B.C. There are currently over 124 prehistoric sites in Mayes County. Due to souvenir hunters and amateur collectors, the location of some of these sites is hidden in the state archeological files which contain confidential infrormation and are unavailable to the general public.
