- Discusses the struggle over trying to establish Statehood. There was the Oaklahoma Territory Bill that was passed in 1866 but it was not approved by congress. After some more convincing it was finally acknowledged that Oklahoma was now a part of the United States. Other bills were passed in hopes of bettering the lives of the Indians.
