Description
This us a continuation of the story of Major Ridge, John Ridge, and Elias Boudinot signing the treaty. Upon the signing Congress passed the Indian Removal Act. This Act pushed Indians off their territories. In reaction Major signed the Treaty of New Echota which ulitmately led to his death. The U.S Senate ratified the treaty which led to the Trail of Tears. It goes on to explain the death of Boudinot, Major, and John Ridge.
