Description
A continuation of the Porum Range War article from 1.5. This portion of he article details the testimony of Steve Little as he identifies his attacks and arrest warrants were issued. After both sides of the conflict were gathered in the courtroom, the judge issued a notice that no weapons were be permitted during the proceedings. Bob Davis was acquitted from the charges of cattle stealing while Pony Starr was not. The article then goes on to detail Starr's trial, ending with his conviction only for a series of appeals to have the case thrown out of court all together. The Davis boys were put under the protection of special sherrifs to protect them from any signs of mob violence. Charlie McClurre, a Cherokee, is assasinated after death threats were issued to him, the asasins were not identified.
