- This article deatails the life of cherokee composer, musician, and author Jack Frederick Kilpatrick and his achievements, including the style of which he would write his own Cherokee ledgends and traditions in his music. Kilpatrick married his wife Anna Gritts and had three children while he wrote for the Smithsonian Institue. Kilpatrick died on February 22, 1967 of a heart attack.
