Description

Adair Retired Teachers met for lunch. President Larry U. Denny presided and J.L. Hallford gave the invocation. The guest speaker for this meeting was Olene Brown who represents the American Association of Retired Persons and The Oklahoma Retired Educators Association. Ms. Brown also recounted a story of a young girl named Cynthia Ann Parker who was kidnapped and raised by Comanche Indians, and later on married Quanah Parker a Comanche Chief. New officers are to be elected: Geraldine Starr, Jan Lockard, and J.L. Hallford. Those who attended the meeting were: Juanita Starr, Marie Ratliff, Lucille Starr, Bety L. Keeter, Geraldine Starr, Nora Grahm, Ruth Worley, Colbert Starr, John Crittenden, Wadell Parsons, Mack Starr, J.L. Hallford, Larry U.
