Every year the Cherokees have 6 major festivals. One of the festivals, The Green Cron Ceremony, is held in late June early July. Cherokees will fast and then host a feast like corn, dried pumpkins, and other food crops.
The Cherokee Nation History Course
Chef Chad Smith established the Cherokee Nation History Course to assist tribal employees to understand their relationship to reawaken the Cherokee Nation. In 2000 the Cherokee National History Course was used to teach 1800 tribal employees.
